Dianne has
been a resident of South King County for 30 years. She has an extensive
business background, has owned her own graphics business for
seventeen
years and is experienced at community organizing. She sees working for
the South King County Community Network as a way to help children get a
good start.
She is known in the Covington community for her many
volunteer activities. She is presently serves as Chair for the
Covington Family Support Center and is an active
member of the Rotary Club of Covington. She founded and co-chaired the Covington Citizens Action
Committee (organizers of Covington Days) for two years, served two terms
as secretary of the
Covington Chamber of Commerce Board and organized the Incorporation
Celebration for the City of Covington.
The City of
Covington honored Dianne as it's first Citizen of the Year in 1998 and
the Covington Chamber named Dianne's company, Graphic Connections, as
it's 1997 Business of the Year.
Dianne's
husband Arthur is a disabled veteran and
step-son, Aaron, is a Neurologist specializing in care of stroke
victims. |

Although, Denese’s
professional career has focused on Pierce County she has been a
resident of South King County for 31 years. She has two grown daughters,
Kim and Kelli, and a grandaughter, Lily, born in November
of 2004.
Denese is enthusiastic about being able to use her skills to improve the
lives of families and children in her home community. In addition to her
work with SKCCN funded projects, Denease is making a difference by
helping the SKCCN Board build partnerships with others in South King
County who joining the battle against domestic violence, child abuse and
child neglect. She says, “In
today’s complex and stress-filled world, all parents face challenges and
need support in raising children. I am committed to helping our
community make sure that support is available whenever it is needed by
any family.”
Denese has
been honored by many groups in Pierce County for her many efforts on
behalf of families and in 2001 the South King County of Human Services
honored her for her work here in South King County. |
