By legislation the Boards for Family
Policy Council Community Networks are chosen in the following
categories. Board members commit to a three year term on the
Board and can serve two terms.

FIDUCIARY – Ten
Network Board members must either live or work
within the Network boundaries and may have a
financial interest in the organizations that receive
public funds such as King County, Cities, or School
Boards and are selected by one of the following
groups: cities; King County; parks and recreation
programs; law enforcement assistance workers;
private social service providers; non-secular
organizations, or health service providers; or
public education. |
NON-FIDUCIARY –
Thirteen Network Board members must live within the
Network boundaries and may NOT work for or serve in
a decision-making capacity, such as an officer or
director, in a health, education, social service, or
justice system organization that receives public
funds. There are three representatives from King
County, three from the seventeen cities, three by
the eight school boards and three by Chambers of
Commerce. |
